★ Objective of hiring:
• Build and set-up, Brownfield facility to manufacture ARV & Prednisone Oral Solid Dosage finished formulation product in South Africa at total project cost of $ 29.
• Build and set-up Greenfield Solid Oral Dosage finished formulation facility at a project cost of $ 18 Mn for Nigeria.
• RHDHV (Pretoria), was the consultant hired for South Africa project.

★ Challenges:
• Working in Johannesburg during 2007 -2010 was very much in dire & unsafe situation.
• Importing of equipment’s from other parts of the globe and storing in local warehouses, within highest security.
• Bringing the facility from no regulatory compliance to MCC South Africa approval in 2012, was a big challenge for all.
• Coordinating with India, communicating with local team of South Africa and Nigeria, was a huge challenge.
• Conflict resolution during vendor awarding and in project execution.
• Handling local union during installation of equipment’s and delivering project on time, were the big challenges.
• Statutory approval of building with regard to Town Planning, Electrical and Safety dept, happened to be a big challenge.

★ Key Accomplishments
• Built & delivered ARV, Prednisone Finished Formulation facility (cost $27 Mn), approved by MCC 2007-2012
• TURNAROUND, Nigeria Greenfield formulation project, completed within the cost $18 Mn. 2012-2014

★Impact:
Received Regulatory approval of the South Africa facility from MCC South Africa in 2012 for the first time and manufacturing started.
